Volleyball Assistant Coach - Sara Harrington
I am an incoming freshman at the College at Southeastern in Wake Forest pursuing a degree in Global Studies with a minor in Justice and Social Ethics. My long-term goal is to teach English overseas with the International Mission Board. I was homeschooled from kindergarten through 12th grade. I played for the Alamance Acers Homeschool Volleyball team since age 9 winning the conference tournament once in middle school and again my senior year on varsity. Between homeschool and travel seasons I have played every position (except libero), but I played my 3 varsity seasons as a middle blocker. I played club volleyball for 5 seasons, and I completed my professional referee certification at age 16. I have also line-judged division 3 collegiate volleyball matches, and I loved it and intend to pursue reffing opportunities whenever possible. Homeschool volleyball has been such an important part of my life for so many years, and I am excited to serve the girls at Lighthouse.
